Is this a screen reader?
No, and we will not let anyone tell you it is. A screen reader is software a blind person already runs on their own machine, chosen by them, and nothing on your website replaces it. My Site Reader helps the much larger group of people who can see your page but are struggling with it: low vision, dyslexia, color blindness, tired eyes, a phone in bright sun.
Will this make my site ADA or WCAG compliant?
No. No widget does, whatever the sales page says, and some businesses have been sued after buying one that claimed it would. Accessibility is built into how a site is made. This helps real people read yours today, which is worth doing on its own merits, and it is honest about being one part of the job.
What does the panel actually do?
Text size in four steps, high contrast, a dyslexia-friendly font, underlined links, a reading guide, reduced motion, read aloud, and three color-vision corrections for red, green and blue. A visitor sets it once and it follows them from page to page.
Will it break how my site looks?
No. It scales your own type rather than zooming the whole screen, so the layout holds together, and nothing changes at all until a visitor asks for it. Your site looks exactly as you built it for everybody else.
Where does the dyslexia font come from?
From our own address, not a public font library. That matters because a lot of offices, schools and hospitals block public font libraries, and a dyslexia font that does not arrive is worse than none. Ours arrives.
Does read aloud need an account or a key?
No. It uses the voice already built into the visitor's own browser, so there is nothing to install, no account to make, no key that could leak and no per-word charge to anybody.
How long does it take to set up?
About five minutes. When your account is made you get one line of code. Paste it into your site template, or the custom code box your website builder already has, and it is on every page from then on, including pages you have not built yet. Nothing else to install and nothing to maintain.
What if I use Wix, Squarespace, Shopify or WordPress?
All of those have a place to paste a line of code, usually called custom code, code injection or a header script. It works the same on a site somebody built by hand. If you cannot find the box on yours, ask the assistant on this page and we will tell you exactly where it is on your builder.
Do both tools really come in every plan?
Yes. Consent Kept and My Site Reader are sold together at one price. We did that because a small business needs both and buying them separately from two companies costs more than buying both here.
What happens if I go over some number of visitors?
Nothing. There is no pageview cap on any plan. This matters more than it sounds: some tools switch your notice off when you go over your allowance, which means the month you get busy is the month you are running without it.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time, and you keep your record. Ask for it and we hand you the whole thing as a spreadsheet. Your data is yours; we do not hold it hostage to keep you paying.
Is my visitors' information sent anywhere else?
No. There is no advertising network, no analytics company and no data broker in this. The record holds a one-way fingerprint, never a name, an email or an address, and it stays in your account.
